Should you spend $20+ buying a Minecraft sword or should you try to make one? We opted for the latter. Most of the items we had already at home, and it took about 4 hours to make. The most time consuming part is waiting for the glue to dry.

Materials:

  • Enough cardboard for 4- 6 layers (thanks Amazon packages!)

    • We used 6

  • Glue

  • Minecraft sword template via Google or Pixel Art

  • Scissors, box cutter and/or Exacto knife

  • Ruler

  • Optional: tape

Steps:

  1. Print out your template

  2. Trace the template on one cardboard piece

  3. Glue the cardboard pieces together

  4. Cut out the template.

    1. You will need one for each side.

  5. Optional: Tape the edges

    1. You can have the exposed edges, too.

  6. Glue the template to each side

  7. Let dry for at least 1 hour.

  8. Enjoy!
