DIY: Replace your pullstring light - No Wiring

Hi all. In making over our laundry room, the pull string seemed to be getting in the way and has broken many times over the years. In a YouTube and Amazon search one night last month, I came across this product that will help me turn my light on and off with a switch that I can place anywhere. The best part - no wiring!

Materials

• 1 Socket Bulb Adapter and Switch

• Mounting Options

  • The product comes with wall mounting screws and anchors

  • I used heavy duty double side velcro

Steps

This is a fairly straight forward plug and play install.

1. Unscrew your bulb from the current installation.

2. Screw it into the light bulb adapter and then install that into the light bulb base.

   1. The picture above shows the lightbulb with the adapter installed in our ceiling light of the laundry room.

3. Remove the plastic from the battery on the switch.

4. Test that it works. Click, click.

5. Mount the switch with the screws or velcro.

   1. I installed it on the underside of one of the cabinets for a fun stealth look.
